Three new products of Paljassaare Kalatööstus to compete in Finals of a global seafood competition in Brussels


 


Vichiunai Group will participate in the largest seafood fair in the world – the European Seafood Exposition (ESE) in Brussels, Belgium this week.


Three new products of AS Paljassaare Kalatööstus – Sushi cake with ginger, Sushi cake with sea kale and Tofu cake – are to be participate in the finals of the “Prix d’Elite” new products’ competition organised in the framework of the exposition.


 


The Vichiunai Group will participate in the finals of the Brussels exposition with a total of four products – “Surimi Imperial” produced in the Plunge factory in Lithuania will also be represented in the finals.


 


“We will be represented at the Brussels competition with our latest achievement in product development,” stated the CEO of AS Paljassaare Kalatööstus Mauno Leppik. “In case of these products different components of different recipes of different cultures have been taken and they have been made into completely new products,” Leppik added.


 


1. Sushi cake with ginger, which consists of salmon and whitefish meat, surimi and rice and has been flavoured with ginger.


 


2. Sushi cake with sea kale, which consists of salmon and whitefish meat, surimi and rice and has been flavoured with sea kale.


 


3. Tofu cake, a healthy mix of surimi and soy. We recommend the product to people who have problems with their weight and their hearts as well as diabetics and to those who suffer from lactose and gluten intolerance.


 


New products should reach the stores in the coming months.


 


Exports form on average 85 per cent of products manufactured by AS Paljassaare Kalatööstus, the enterprise's products are sold successfully in more than 30 States – in Europe, in Asia as well as in Middle East.


 


At last year's ESE-fair in Brussels AS Paljassaare Kalatööstus was in the finals of the competition with its "Norwegian fish cakes”, the year before that with "Esva" fish fillet fingers with flavoured breading – "Hot & Spicy", "Pesto" and "Provence".


 


1,600 enterprises from 87 countries are represented at the European Seafood Exposition (ESE) fair in Brussels, Belgium which will take place from April 22 to 24.


This is the world's largest seafood exposition with participants more than 100 countries.
